IdeoKar, is a free and user-friendly karyotype analysis software that facilitates the data collection from different digital images of the metaphase chromosome spread and calculates a wide variety of chromosomal and karyotypic parameters along with the related standard errors.

Features Highlight

1. Easy Calibration: IdeoKar can be easily calibrated so that all following calculations would be in micrometer (µm).

2. Chromosomal parameteres: the ability to calculate mean and standard deviation of chromosomal parameters of each homologous group.

3. Ideogram generation: After tracing chromosomes, this software is capable to draw ideogram of both diploid and allopolyploid species into a single image file.
